Curators: Dr. Shirat-Miriam Shamir & Ido Noy
30 artists, most of them teachers of the Bezalel School of Art Design Department, challenged the borders between Contemporary Art and Judaica. The exhibition intended to present the Bezalel School's world view and artistic language, and showed how these are expressed in religious ritual objects. All the artists who participated in the group show studied, taught or directed the Jewelry and Fashion Department. Over the years, these artists have become the leading Judaica craftsmen and women, whose creations currently enrich the collections at the world's leading museums of art.
The exhibition included a special tribute exhibition in memory of Zelig Segal, a contemporary Jewish art pioneer who passed away in 2015, courtesy of the Israel Museum and the artist's family.
